Damiano's Bishop Mate

empty The Queen-Bishop mating pattern and mating net is one seen quite frequently in chess games. In Damiano's Bishop Mate, the attack centers on a castled opposing King. The focal point is f7 for mating at f8 against Black, and f2 for mating at f1 against White, by concentrating mating pressure in the corner and forcing the opposing King to the checkmate square where the Queen checkmates protected and defended by the Bishop.
